driving makes us sleepy. 6am after a long night on our way to set up.

As I sit here basking in my feverish sickness, I am also basking in the memories of one incredible weekend at The Fest. What follows is my best account of our collective experiences last weekend: myself, Greg, and Rob.
Our journey started at midnight on Thursday after All People’s Never Records session. We loaded up Greg’s car with all the Com Rec merch and our bags and started the 9 hour drive through the night. Thankfully, we had very safe travels and got to the Holiday Inn flea market 30 minutes before Registration. Unfortunately, this meant that we had 30 minutes to get some coffee, set up our table and talk to thousands of totally stoked punx from all over the world. Despite our fatigue, we had a blast passing out flyers and stickers, selling some goodies, and seeing so many new and old friends.
Around 7 pm, we packed up our table of stuff and headed for pizza at Leonardo’s. After a brief stop at our dingy, yet satisfying, hotel room, we headed to High Dive to catch Stay Ahead of the Weather and Into It. Over It. I didn’t have a ticket so I paid to get in and it totally ruled.
We saw a ton of great bands and got to say hello to a ton of great friends. We will more than likely be headed back again next year. It’s been good to us for the past two, despite the illness that follows such an overuse of ones body.
Here’s some photos we snapped with our fancy fones:
- Setting up and display at the flea market table.
- Joyce Manor – Florida Theatre
- Edhochuli – wayyy to heavy. wayyy to rad.
- Lagwagon.
- We Are The Union + D-Ray
- Into It. Over It. Full Band Set.
