Lisabi is a sextet from Barão Geraldo, Brazil. They combine unusual song structures, frequent shifts in tempo and soft/loud dynamics to create a punk influenced mixture of ska, jazz, latin and progressive rock. Their name pays homage to Funmilayo Kuti, mother of Nigerian musician Fela Kuti. Lisabi has 3 releases to date, including their upcoming trilogy called Senseless Acts of Violence, a 12 song full length to be released as an EP collection. The band has toured heavily since its formation in 2011, organizing and playing 4 headlining tours, including a 30 day route throughout the USA.
