About
released October 22. 2013
“Satellite Prisoner” and “Chevy Metal” were recorded in 1999 by our favorite producer/engineer and friend Eric Cohen at the beloved Squid Hell in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts(where we recorded Hellfire and Disco). These are the only recordings that feature Thumper’s final drummer Matt Howe, who was the drummer on the now infamous East Coast Apocalypse tour with Inspecter 7 and The Skoidats. The Skoidats influence is evident on the song “Chevy Metal.”While “Satellite Prisoner” made an appearance on one of Dan Vitale’s Mash It Up compilations, this is the first official release of both songs. The reunion shows this year have been pure joy, and we have all been humbled by the response. It is our honor and pleasure to share these lost tracks with the Community Records family.- Ted Thumper (2013)Track List:
